Samsung announced a new addition to its Ultra portfolio with the introduction of Ultra Smart F700 on 8th Feb 2007. The Ultra Smart boasts a full touch screen as well as QWERTY keypad.

The F700 reflects the recent trend in telecommunications industry –touch screen user interface and QWERTY keypad and VibeTonz technology which allows them to feel the buttons accompanied by responsive vibrations.

As speed is becoming crucial for data communications, the Ultra Smart reflects the latest speed of 7.2 Mbps under the High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) network. The Ultra Smart F700 is one of the first phones we’ve seen that will work on upcoming 7.2Mbps HSDPA networks. AT&T should be rolling out 7.2Mbps HSDPA here in the U.S.

The “Drag and drop” method of touch screen was used for easier menu navigation. It comes with music play list control for multimedia experience. Volume, play lists, brightness of screens as well as other menu control can be controlled utilizing the touch screen.

Other features include 5-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, 2.78-inch touchscreen display, pretty Samsung interface and the usual slew of media features like a video and music player.
